About the Editor
Biography
I established Darning Needle Editing after a friend asked me for a read-through of their book-in-progress and I sent back a copyedited manuscript instead. (Remarkably, they're still a friend.) I copyedit fiction—particularly science fiction and fantasy—nonfiction, and scholarly works.
I acquired a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in history longer ago than I care to share, and continue happily mucking about with both subjects. I earned my editing chops working as a program coordinator for a nationally-renowned cancer center—which is to say, writing and editing anything from newsletters to federal grant applications, keeping track of everything for everyone, and organizing conferences.
I'm a historical re-enactor in several periods, a sci-fi fan, a steampunk, a fiber artist, a distance runner, a gardener, and a hopeless geek. I definitely read more than is good for me.
My spouse and I live in Philadelphia with our two teenagers. We are collectively owned by three cats and an immortal rosebush.
